Test Flight
 

Not REALLY related to tihs forum... yet. I'm hoping to test fly my wattage crazy 8 soon. it doesn't have enough power to hover with a kintronic 480 direct drive. 2 questions... would a gear box be a god thing for this motor? and does it matter that i don't have a rudder servo yet? i was planning to just tape the rudder and pushrod so it couldn't move, and i have a lot of room to move in, i think it would be ok. has anyone flown this plane to give me a hand?

I don't know about the gearbox but I wouldn't fly without a rudder servo. Lets say you tape the linkage so the rudder is true but when you fly it you need to trim the rudder. You would be hosed and could crash your plane. Be patient and set it up correctly.
