Charging questions

Hi,
I'm new to Lipo batteries and have a question as to how to charge them. I'm using a 3cell 1500mah 11.1v battery with my QQ Yak. What charging settings would anyone use with the G.P. Triton charger with this battery.
Thanks

RE: Charging questions

have it on li-ion, 11.1V, and set the charge rate no more then 1.5A. 1.5A would be a good charging rate but it could be slower. make sure you are on charge and not discharge.
that battery pack might be a little big for your yak.

What do you mean when you say a little too big, it seems to fly well with it. I have been setting the charger at 0.5 to charge it. I guess I was way off. Thanks

0.5 is fine to charge with. It will just be a little slow. In fact it is better for the batteries to charge slow if you have the time to spare. If not then don't go above 1.5 amps.

how slow is good for lipo's, like, i'd assume that there is some point where you are no longer doing them good, and are just wasting time. i fly glow and electric on the side, so i have plenty of time to waste between electric flights (unles i'm at the park ;) )

RE: Charging questions

Most people just charge their lipos at 1 c and for a 1500 mah lipo its 1.5 amps.....a 900 mah lipo would be .9 amps....and so on....
