On a shocky, no down or side thrust needed as they are upside down half the time which would put the thrust line in the wrong direction. Besides, after a few dork ins, they have down and side thrust and don't seem to fly any different:D Have fun.

my latest has built in left thrust, only time im notice it is a punch out of a hover were i have to add rudder, but nothing difficult to handle.

Zeeshan,

Flypaper has it right. Shoot for a zero-zero thrust alignment and you'll be as close as possible to the ideal situation ... plus, it's easy to measure. 90-degree triangles are easier to find than 88.5-degree triangles. ;)

You'll want it straight for hovering, of course. And in other 3D maneuvers, any offset will work against you as often as it works for you. There's not only the question of upright vs. inverted, but also knife-edging one way vs. knife-edging the other way. Differential thrust would simply add more confusion to an already complex set of interacting forces.

Ian won't admit it, but his "built-in left thrust" is probably a repair, too. :)

woops i already put it in i was in a rush for some reason and put just a bit of offset in it however i just had my maden flight today in (strong winds) it got blown around but i didnt brake it and when the wind died it flew true and straight. I think my Shocky is a bit overpowerd
