Tape hinges and paint
 

Hi

I will be painting a depron plane with spray paint and I will be using tape hinges. I will be painting the areas where the tape will adhere. Should I tape hinge the surfaces on before I paint or after I paint?

If the tape is laid down first I'm concerned the paint will look uneven across the bare depron and the tape. If I paint first, I'm concerned the painted surface won't provide a good gripping surface for the tape. :eek:

The paint don't stick to the tape so I paint, then tape the hinges.
