VPP and Futaba 9C programming

I am getting ready to setup my IKARUS VPP setup and I am having a very hard time trying to figure out how to set it up.

I would like to have it setup so that down on switch "E" would be normal flight and up for reverseable

I thought I knew my 9C fairly well [&o]

hi Lom

I have my Zap set up on a helicoptor programme for my VPP therefore Postive pitch on upper half of the throttle stick and negative below, its the easiest way.

you need to set it up as a helicopter... and then program a pitch curve and throttle curve in Idle1 mode...

sadly the Idle modes are hard coded to swG on the 9CA (swE if it is a 9CH)

so E would work if you have the heli version.... but you would use the switch to change from normal mode to idle1 mode

but like I mentioned you need to set everything up in parameter as a helicopter then start playing with curves.....

also...you pretty well must have a Watt meter to set it up......

I would plug mine in and then throttle up, then adjust pitch curve to maximize amp draw without drawing too many amps... and trying to balance that with an efficient curve

Hi

Agree with everything exeter said, if you have not got a watt meter, get one, otherwise set the pitch to approximatly 4 degs max each way, it will give you a starting point.
