Help on E-Flight Brio 10

Hello this is Sebastian. I bought a Brio 10 a couple of months ago with an E-Flight Power 10, a castle 45 esc, and a 2100 mAh 3c thunderpower pack. My dad is into pattern but I am more of a 3-D guy so he convienced me to buy the high power combo instead of the lightweight combo. I regret this decision because it adds 3 ounces of weight to the plane. I have not built the plane but it is my next project. There is a deal at Horizon right now where I can buy a 2nd Brio for $100 and it comes with a an E-Flight 480 outrunner. I need suggestions on if the extra 3 ounces actualy make a difference for 3-D and if I should purchase this deal at Horizon. Please help me!!!

Thank you
Sebastian

Buy the combo, you won't disappointed in the performance. The Brio takes a bit of work to 3D, as explained in teh instructions and on the box. If you want a 3D machine, you might look at the Mini Funtana X or either the new Extra 480 3D or Mini Showtime. All use 480 power and fly very well.

I bought the combo with the 480 and just had maiden flight today.
Using an 11x7 prop it has unlimited vertical.

Originally I thought I would get a Power 10 and use the 480 on my Mini UltraStick.
But I see no need to go beyond the 480 on the Brio.

Nice steady flying plane.

Sebastian
I have flown a Power 10 on my Brio for quite a while. The extra 3 0unces basically means you have to bring it in with power. It also means you have enough horsepower for a suborbital flight. The extra velocity is fun but not necessary as the it is a very good pattern ship that knife edges extremely well with the 480.
Good luck
Dan

If you want to slow down and do good 3D on the deck, get the E flite Extra 260 with a 480 and 2100's,It works, the plane is great for pattern too.

If you really want full on 3D forget all the above.
Go to the Profile Brotherhood and check out a Skeeter kit or arf from Kalteisen.com
The Bro's know 3D and will give you straight advise based on actual experience. No one uses the Brio for 3D it's wing is not happy in slow speed high afpha flight, for pattern work it might be ok.
Once you are signed up PM me my Bro name is flashburn
