If you are having trouble adjusting to the Typhoon as I am, I might suggest putting in as much time as possible on a flight simulator. Also I found it helpful to practice in High Mode and run the throttle at about half speed. This actually seemed easier to control the plane than using Low mode at higher speeds.

If you have crashed your Typhoon and the small pin and latch for the canopy has gotten lost, you can fix the issue by using a small diameter screw 1" or so long and cement it in to the fuselage head first using Gorilla white foam compatible expanding adhesive. Once set use a wing nut to fasten canopy to screw. Seems to work well.

I just used a folded paperclip with a hook on the end going into the fuselage, so it would not come out easily and secured it with glue. It has never come off.
