Flash EPP for a rookie?

i have a honeybee 3d heli but could never get the damn thing to fly more than a foot off the ground without crashing, after many replacement blades i gave up in frustration. i have a storm launcher and aero ace that i can fly with no problems and i have some hours on fms. so i was wondering if getting a 3d plane (Flash EPP) would be a wise choice.

could i use the honey bee tx with the flash? or salvage the servos? i'm guessing i'll have to start from scratch.

also, what's the deal with the fms site? it's down and i'd like to download the old fms.

balluce,
If you've no plane flying experience you'd destroy it in seconds, whilst Sims are fantastic for practice it's not a replacement and I'm afraid you still need to go through the starter plane / trainer 1st.
Have a look at the HobbyZone Super Cub or the Multiplex EasyStar initially but if you really do feel confident then possibly the Multiplex MiniMag but set up up as 3 channels to start with and the progress to 4 with ailerons whe yo've a few weeks experience.
Just as a general is the Honey Bee a beginners heli, if not that may be the problem and one of the biggest reason for newbies crashing is trying to fly something too advanced for them !!

you get what you pay for with a honeybee fp....

a superb beginner heli is the hirobo srb quark. 3x the price of a honeybee but flights GREAT. but you really do get what you pay for...
