Can someone give the skinny on foam planes, reviews, thoughts on the products, reviews, quality kits, etc

That's quite a tall order. Here's a link to a site that is a bit more intuitive. [link=http://www.rcgroups.com/foamies-scratchbuilt-428/]RC Groups[/link]...I started building my own and saving tons of cash. Even though that link is for scratch builds, there are tons(almost too many) of discussions on what works best (glues, foams, plans, techniques....). If you don't find anything useful they also have a section for store-bought kits that seems to get more responses from members. Good luck! Z |

Most of what I have been flying lately is the foamys, most home made, although there is some good stuff on the ceiling including big gassers. One of my best flyers is from free plans at RC Powers, a Extra 300 set up with hobby king gear and batteries. All I had was 8mm foam at the time so it's out of 8mm Depron. Very stiff, may be why its a great flyer. Enjoy |
