I put a digital force gauge to the tail while revving the 15x6 @ 9900 rpm. The scale read 12.5 lb. I would think the 15x4W @ 10300 would be a little more thrust, although I never measured it. Or is there something wrong with my thrust measurement setup when I did the 15x6 measurement?

Doug,

Noone would tell me what this maneuver was prior to Chris doing it. Im glad they didnt tell me now because the first time you see it in person, if your not expecting it, makes it very shocking!

Chris also does it with the 28% Yak but the little one does it more aggresively!

To compare thrust measurements… I have a ¼ scale Spacewalker that weighs 10pounds 1oz on a commercial scale. With a O.S. 91fx (15% cool power) turning a APC 15 x 6 at (10,600 max) 10,300 flying it can hold a hover but can only very very slowly pull out vertical. I then switched to an Ultrathrust muffler with 15 x 6 APC and it went to (11,700 max) 11,200 flying (I do a lot of verticals and hovering, so I like to keep things rich) and now the plane pulls out of a hover very nicely.
