Hey Joe,
Have you flown one of those foamies yet? I have a 2 acre field just a block away that would be perfect for those.

Not yet... but the video of that bi-plane makes me think I could definitely have a good time with one!

go to spadtothebone.com and look at the spa3d, for $10 it is the most durable, best harrier and TR plane you can make for a cheap TT46 takes about 4 hours to build and you will love it.[8D]

I would also recommend a Morris FF or similar. It will fly much more like your DP than a SPA3d will. A Spad3d really seems to fly like a cross between a pizza box and an overweight FF. (they will hover however and do a few funky maneuvers) As far as the foamies go... they’re only cheep if you already have all the expensive stuff. Generally for GOOD 3d they require micro servos, micro receiver, a $50 BEC, two $50 batteries, and a $100 brushless motor. Electric may be the most expensive way to a 3D plane.

One hint: pretty much has top of the line stuff on it.

It is really fun though. It really gets people's attention when I can still hover it
15 minutes into the flight. That's why we do 3d right??? to get people's attention??!
