I just got my Seduction Freestyle from Singapore Hobbies today. I ordered it last Monday and got it today. (Thats faster than Tower)
Anyway, the picture on the box shows the wing without the plastic wingtips installed. What is best , with or without the wingtips ?

Personally I fly with the wingtips on, You can fly with the wingtips off then cyno them on if you want to see the difference, they are not structural and I doubt if they improve anything flight wise. For me they aid in seeing the plane as I have them painted white and they stand out in contrast to my purple transparent main color. I would say they would do little to change the flight characteristics but leaving them off would save a bit of weight but I honestly don't think its worth the bother.
Another question guys, hows your upright elevators looking because mine rocks crazily, guess its that tapered leading edge coming into play, inverted elevators are stable.

I haven't built my Seduction yet but I remember weighing the wingtip moldings and the two of them weigh about one ounce together. So if you care about that much weight take them off.

I am not sure about the US supplier, I believe I read some where that MRC Altech was carrying them , but it cost more than getting them from Sinapore.
I was thinking about making the ailerons bigger. If the the ailerons are bigger then they will extend past the end of the wingtips.Would that be a problem ?

Just seal the aileron hinge gaps, dont extend them past the wings, that will cause terrible flutter. Trust me, this plane has mad throws on the ailerons.
1. Make sure to use stiff pushrods on the elevator and rudder
2. Pay close attention to the firewall and landing gear ply asssembly
3. I had to put my battery way back by the tail to balance
4. Be sure to attach the LE of the wings to the fuse securely ( I used a bolt)
Here is mine that I just finished (Irvine .53 with ultrathrust muffler) The Cowl is off because I was working on the engine:

Hmmm that was the standard Seduction Freestyle....I have the Ono Special....I'll have to go home and check, but I thought it was dual tapered....Well after looking at the Ono pics on the web, I think you are right......

Thanks for the replys. Daniel Z nice picture, are those the standard ailerons ? If so , how does it do 3D ?
I thought the only difference between the Ono and the Freestyle(with respect to the wing) was the size of the Ailerons.

JPB, that's the picture of the OK manufacturer website. There are a few slight differences between the standard and Ono Special. Ailerons are built up (with ribs like the wings), Added structure reinforcement, andonized landing gear (blue), pre tinted canopy, includes spinner and gas tank.

This engine is a monster........plenty of power for hover. Even without the thrustmaster muffler, this thing had unlimited vertical. I'm running a 12.25X3.75 prop @ 14,500 RPM's. The plane weighs less than 4.5 lbs. I was worried about the fuel lines, but they haven't been a problem. The engine is inverted, so I had to do a little adjusting to get the plane to idle correctly. I'm looking into a larger pattern ship now, and for that one I'm going to go 4 stroke, yet I am perfectly happy with my beloved Irvine. It fits entirely inside the cowl with no problem (other than the muffler) Only modification I had to rotate the motor mount slightly to let the muffler sit between the landing gear and wing.

Mine has a straight trailing edge
Well I'm using a 53 two-stroke and it had unlimited performance, hovers bit below half throttle. My cg is right on the standard freestyle plan and the battery is at the rear of the canopy. For flying, little coupling in knife-edge, elevators inverted stable yet undo-able upright, if you see in the pictures and movies they NEVER do upright elevators... I think this tells us something. For the ailerons, I'm using the standard ailerons and it does high alpha rolls, on low rates. For what I'm doing I'm perfectly happy, it still blenders and does all the 3d moves but really you cant hide the fact thats it a 40 sized model, fly a 2m ship then fly this and theres no comparison but I'm still happy with how it flies, a great we f3a practice model.
