RE: Groovy 50 3D- ARF from World Models???
I know this is an old thread, but I just bought one these...Groovy 50 3D and will mount an OS 61 fx up front. Question is, which prop is working best for a good combination of pattern and 3d? Based on previous posts, I will definately strengthen the landing gear and fuse sides during assembly. Any other mods I need to consider with this ARF?
Thanks,
Mike

I know this thread is more than a decade old. Just finished assembling mine and had it's maiden flight. Very disappointing. This probably ranks as the worst ARF I have ever put together. It is not worth the engine and avionics. The airplane is too heavy and is "wanting" in many places, and they paid very little attention as to how to mount the servos, in fact the manual does not even illustrate it. And the tail is too long that comes out alarmingly tail heavy. Mine required 400 grams of weight in the nose just to balance out. (too much useless weight in many places but not adding strength). It's also built so cheap it probably won't last long.
There are far more better airplanes out there in this category. Don't waste your time and money on this one. I only flew mine ONCE and I am already convinced that it is not worth my while. The engine and avionics come off tonight. The airframe is off to the fireplace.
