MVVS 1.6 in QQ yak?
Has any one put a MVVS or EVO 1.6 in a QQ 72" Yak? I would like to know the all up weight. What does the air frame weigh? I have a 1.6 and am trying to decide if I want to scratch build a yak or if a QQ yak would come in at 11 lbs.

Hi Brent,
I have the MVVS 1.6 Glow in a 25% Giles weighing in at 11.5lbs. Flies great with good vertical using an 18x6 wood prop. So if your YAK is 11lbs, should be fine.

RE: MVVS 1.6 in QQ yak?
It looks like I would come in around 11.5+ pounds. With the extra batterie back and the tuned pipe and header. I talked to wayne at QQ aircraft he said that the planes are weighing right at 10.5 pounds with a ys 140 sport. I am shooting for 10-11 pounds. The QQ yak is just a little bit too big. I think I will be designing a new yak. I just ordered a cowl and canopy to I will be able to get started. My last plane came in at 8 pounds with a saito 100. Nice and light. I shouldn't have much trouble of hitting my 10-11 lb goal.

Thanks for the offer. I have a freind with a EX flight yak that I can look at. I have also done some repair work on a QQ yak that had an unfortunate run in with a large rock. Here is what I have so far.
