Yeah, that's how I'd describe them![&:][&:][&:][&:][&:][&:][&:] We drove into our field one day and found a goat someone have sacrificed and evidently skinned the poor thing alive just off of the road. Lots of strange, sick, weirdos around this area. I'm still considering moving to the Norfolk area to retire and get away from this crowd. Still, they never show up at my house, I have two guns, no waiting!

Sorry! and now back to the CAP 232. Everyone's doing so well there doesn't seem to be a lot to discuss.

Hi guys
Well, i am thinking about grabbing this beautiful cap. I really think i am ready for a big plane. I can do almost every move in the book (exept those DARN rolling harriers) with my katana 70 profile. I have wanted a gas for a long time. I am thinking DL 50 for this bird. I am going to run the 3305's on 6 volts wich is all I can afford. Have sold almost all the stuff i don't use any longer so i am actually almost there. Just can't wait.

What do you guys think about this electronic setup. I am thinking of running a 6v 2000 (A cell) mah battery with the s3305 servos. I am also planning on running 1400mah on the ignition. Reciever will be a standered futaba FM. I am also going to be running a couple heavy duty on/off switches for the igniton and electronics.

Cambo, Make darn sure you pin and reinforce that firewall for that engine. Bubbagates can tell you the best way. Otherwise you may find your DL taking off without your CAP.

Hi all,
i need a little help or suggestion for my CAP232 (if possible).
I have finally finished to build the plane and i'm now in the middle of running-in my engine, but i have problems with fuel pressure i believe. I know this isn't strictly the exact thread for it, but maybe someone has my same setup or has advices for fuel lines/tank. My setup is:
Engine: Moki 1.80
Plug: A5 O.S. plug
Muffler: Slimline Large Volume Pitts Muffler for Moki 180 (with special smoke inlet)
Propeller: Master Airscrew 18x10 Classic Nylon Propeller
Tank Stopper: Sullivan's Heavy Duty Aluminum Stopper
All the rest is standard out the box (incl. tank itself) and built per manual instructions. Bought the stopper replacement to have a 1/8" fuel line (both in tank and to the engine). Back pressure and refill are both standard 3/16" lines.
The engine starts (not without some difficulties) very wet, but it keeps running only on low RPMs. It ran about 20/25 minutes now, but i still can't get it to go faster than 1/4 of throttle. Fuel is 20% castor oil only. Touching the needle has no effect on the engine RPMs. What can i do? Try with a smaller 3/16" fuel line?
Thanks in advance!

First off let me say I know nothing about Moki engines. Never even seen one, however it definately sounds like you have a fuel delivery problem. Either getting too much forcing the engine to run rich, or not enough on demand when you try and throttle up. I suppose it would be possible for the 3/16 softer fuel line to collapse but highly unlikely. You could also have an air leak at the base of the carb. That will make the needle valve pretty much un-adjustable for the most part. You may want to try and either run all 1/8" or all 3/16" fuel line and see if it improves. Not sure if that carb has a o-ring between the base of the carb and the manifold opening but you may want to check that and make sure the carb is tightly seated in the engine. Also check for a split in any one of the lines. Hope this helps. Bubba may be more familiar with the engine and able to help you better.

erizzi, make sure that you block off the muffler smoke connection if it is not in use. If left open, you could be losing muffler pressure that could affect the fuel flow.

Hi all,
got an advice to go with all round 3/16" lines. My problem could be caused by not enough fuel coming into the carburator.
About the plug, i was told that the OS A5 is a cold one and shouldn't be used (to be clear i was told by the Moki seller to only use A5 type plugs!). So i've bought a OS type F plug and a Enya N.3 (hot) plug. Will try both. But i am pretty sure that the advice was correct. In fact i had problems unplugging the 2V starter on the plug. The engine stopped working unless it wasn't really hot.
To answer to Lou55, the carb is well seated and cannot move except twist on its axis (probably to help a better setup of the fuel tube). I will double check the lines, but i'm pretty sure they are all ok.
Thanks to all!
