www.timpa.org ...thats my regular site, happens to be where the tucson shootout is held.... i thought thats what you meant by patutte, i liked it...i havent weighed it, my scale only goes up to 23, guess i could try the bathroom scale, or do my fuse and wings seperate on my more "accurate" scale, im guessing im somewhere between 28-30lbs, most guys are on the 28 side, mine always seem heavier for some reason, could be the gallons of epoxy i use, anyway i do love the way that thing runs, must be the rotary valves or whatever they call it, its snappy for sure

every plane I have ever 3D'd was easier to harrier and hover tail heavy.... more tail heavy was easier... but also krappier for every other flight regime.....

It is OK to go tail heavy to ease learning TR's and harriers... but once you get it... move the CG fwd to neutral or a RCH north of neutral.. My Compy SX and my FUNTANA 140S in a vertical power off dive will pull thru about 5 or 10 degrees in 800 to 1000 feet.....

This plane is near neutral... (Like the CG is .25" ahead of true neutral point... yes.. the fuel tank is on the CG)

Hi all,I have just started building a modeltech 3Demon to get me started in this type of flying.
The instructions suggest HS 225MG's I have gone for Hitecs HS-5475HB digital servos
cause I had some sitting around they are Karbonite geared , does anyone have any
experience with these servos on 46 to 52 sized 3D planes.
I have only used these servo's on scale planes & only in the last couple of months.
Cheers Steffan.

i know alot of people were using them on the chinn yak profile from extreme flight, seemed to work well on that plane, which has a 50 2 stroke or a 82 4 stroke, to give an idea of size

I like to run my servos on 6 volts for more speed and torque. I perfer faster servos for 3d.

Cheers for the advice ,will pick up another 6v battery this week.
The other plane I have used these servo,s on was my 150 sized
Gee Bee Z on 6volts 1 servo for each control surface.
