Is weight determinental in this case? The 70U has nowhere as near the power of the 91, let alone your Saito (which is both lightweight and strong)...

Hello again.
Maidened my Inspire yesterday powered by the OS 70 Ultimate and an APC 13X6.
The OS turned 10400rpm on an 20/20 Coolpower. The plane balanced fine on the rearmost reccomended CG using a Hyperion LIFe 1450mah pack/std voltage regulator by Powerbox. Judging after the first impression, CG should be shifted a little bit on the rear , past the recommended range , to achieve perfect tracking when inverted. Looks like the landing gear will not hold up to the job for long... I already have delamination issues from the first (soft in general) landings. Apart from the LG the quality of the plane seems to be top class . The plane is and feels light and flys straight with very minor trim adjustments. Only modification made is to ditch the stock linkage and replace it with CF tube onto 2/56 ball links at both ends. I also doubled up the control horns to prevent flex but it seems that such should not be a case. Single horns in this scale are perfectly adequate. Todays weather conditions were not in favor of such a small model (Force 4Bf) though the flight characteristics are very promising.

I will fly it in calm and see.

Weather Forecast for Sunday reports Force 2Bf.
Cant wait...

I just ordered landing gear from Graphtech that goes on a Reactor to adapt to my Inspire. It should be here in a week of so. You're right, the landing gear sucks.

A couple of flights and the LG almost gave up the ghost. A new carbon LG is on the way.
