You can get the unknowns at the Shootout website:
http://www.desertaircraft.com/shooto...6/unknowns.php
The Invitational unknowns are not given to the pilots until the morning they fly them, they will not be posted until the afternoon.

RE: Official RCU Tucson Aerobatic Shootout 2006
Today was the first day that vendors started to show up.
Desert Aircraft had their both with shirts for the shootout and other clothing products with the DA logo on them. I like the DA jacket that they have. They also had their engines on display. My biggest problem is trying to figure out which engine to get? The DA50, DA100 or the DA150. Once I figure that out then it's to pick which plane to put it in. Good thing Christmas is coming soon. I think I'm not going to have a problem with what to put on my list this year. It's going to be convincing my girlfriend that I really need all this stuff.
[link=http://www.aero-works.net]AeroWorks[/link] and Dietrich Aircrafts had some of their new planes on display. I don't know how I'm going to get these on the plane ride home.
Also [link=http://www.abellrc.com]AbellRC[/link] also had a booth set up. They have some nice gas fuelers for sale. Something else I'll need when I make the jump to a gasser.
I'll have to see if any more vendors show up tomorrow.
Boy this Christmas list is growing pretty fast. [&:]

Len will be happy to hear you guys are enjoying his hard work out there. This is his first official RCU assignment out in the field so to speak. He's done several reviews for RCU but this marks his first major event coverage piece. He has some sweet equipment and lenses and you can see the results here.
He informed me he'll have the 3D/freestyle routines up sometime tonight as he gets back and edits them. As each one rolls off he'll upload them and let us know. You can check back late tonight on www.rcuvideos.com and click link belowspecifically to see all he has uploaded at any given time.

Nice flying between Kyle and Quique. Both are top notch, but if total control through out the flight box and symmetry are important, then I would have to say hands down that Kyle rules! Thank you for the videos. Tucson Shootout ROCKS!!!

Hey, I've just got back from watching the preview of Electric Flight School from Wildberry and again they've done an excellent job on this DVD. If you haven't seen the trailer yet check it out [link=http://www.wildberryproductions.com/efs.cfm]here[/link]. While you're there also check out their trailer for Top Gun.
These DVD's are well worth the money so place your orders now or add them to your holiday gift list.
The rest of the first freestyle videos will be uploaded shortly so check the [link=http://www.rcuvideos.com/uvideos.php?UID=35&type=public]gallery[/link] for them.
For todays standings check[link=http://www.desertaircraft.com/shootout_2006/results_4.php] here[/link].

RE: Official RCU Tucson Aerobatic Shootout 2006
Regarding Mark Lesbergs flight
horrible noise it makes wen going forwards. OK for short bursts but thats nasty..... they obv aint as bothered about noise as they were in the Don Lowe masters, they had a 94DB limet on there.
on the crash, that was deffinate dumb thumbing, entered very fast its hard to get your timing that fast at that height, bacause you would get it horizontal as fast as possibnle then rolling elevator it down before adding power. if it was slower entering, itd been possible to get around i think, just because the timing would have been easyer to get. you can see either the rudder or elevator are totally out, nearly opposites, as it still rolls in a weird mannor, yet goes vertically down.
I appreciate that he is a superb pilot, just that was a BIT adventurus
