I maidened a UCI for a gentleman at the field yesterday, it had the Evo 1.00 on it. It flew pretty good, but he had the wrong prop on it. He's not a 3Der that's for sure, so I flew it, set the throws at low level for him and landed it and gave it back to him. He flew it great for the rest of the day doing high lazy loops, high speeds dives, LOL.. I cringed every time I seen that and touch n go's... Made me giggle. The Evo 1.00 had good power and it balanced perfectly with no lead or shifting needed.

mtwister, did that Evo 100 tend to go too lean at about half throttle?

No, I had it set pretty blubbering rich because it was the 1st time being ran. also, it was really loaded with the prop he had on it.

Hhahahaha... it's what several of us at the field call our U-Can-do's. Pronounced (you-key's). it's just a quicker, sillier way of saying the name, LOL....

Some around here call them Doo-dies or Do-Do, but I like 'em, I know they have bad coupling issues & can feel clunky in the air, but after flying one for years, I know the plane & the conditions it flys best in,it will do most anything you want.

I hear ya, I like them too, that's why I am buying the Giant now, and putting a Moki 1.8 on it. Oh yea, that'll rock!

Not wing rock I hope, the Moki has a good reputation around here and you can use 0% (FAI) if you want. My 1.35 didnt transition good until I cut the Nitro % down to 5% or less.

Yea, not wing rocking I hope either, lol.... My MOki runs best it seems on 15%. I tried the 5%, 10% and it just ran best on the 15% so I have left it that way. it swings a 20x6 Menz prop at 8900, so it has some serious pull

Maybe the 1.80 is different, several here have had the 1.35 & experienced the same transition issues, all kinds of carb mods were tried but none worked. I ended up with OS 7D carb on mine & it worked well with a Cline on my .60 UCI.

Not at all, must have had 100 flights over a year or so, had to mount it sideways so the muffler would fit. I did beef up firewall, I expected vibration, but it was fine.
