Default YS 110, What 3d airplane?

I have a YS 110 that needs a home (No, not your home, but good try...lol)

I have looked at the following:
Funtana 100X
Showtime 4d
QQ/NP Yak 69"

I want something that 3d's nice, but also flys nice lines as well. How does the QQ yak fly?

any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks

I am building a Bampf 3D from Golden Skies RC Aircraft.
The airframe is designed around the YS110. Check out the web site and the videos of the airframe in action.
I'm going to try and get mine built by the weekend so I will give you a flight report if it's ready in time.

The Showtime 90 and YS 110 is a great combo. Good quality plane for the $199. This is my current favorite combo.

I have seen the OMP Fusion and it looks pretty cool. Just have not seen it fly. Going to the website and check it out in a bit.

How does the QQ Yak do in Knife edge flight? Is there a lot of coupling, or just a little? Does it tuck to the belley?

thanks

great planes guys. Keep them coming

I am not trying to decide between the QQ Yak 69" or the Funtana 100X. There may be some others I have yet to see, but here positive things about both.

Wonder how the Yak compares to the Funtana?

thanks

Hehe, I'm not the only one!

Just too many choices. Funtana and showtime look good, I really like the Voltex but can't afford the shipping. Can't wait to see what you decide on.

Funtana was my number one choice, then people started talking about all the other planes out there. U-Can-Do 60 looks like a real nice one as well. I have two from OPM and they are both great planes, so the Yak or Fusion would be good.

I just want the best bang for the buck.

Well Nitroplanes.com has a Yak 54 69" for $199. There is a thread here about it. The guy pretty much says that it comes from the same factory as the QQ Yak 69". I won't go there, but all the pictures I have seen of it shows to be the same build.
There is small diffrences as far as wing tube (one is alum, the other is carbon). Another guy reports that even the wing tips have the holes for the side force generators like QQ Yak. I hear nothing but good about the QQ yak.

If this plane is close as the pictures say, $199 is hard to pass up. Plus, the QQ Yak comes in around 8.5 lbs with a YS 110 RTF and I like that. The one thing that bothers me about the Velox is the weight. Some are coming in around 9.5 lbs and even though the YS 110 will fly that great, I rather shave a 1lb. of weight for hover manuvers.

any feedback guys?
Desert, if I lived closer to you, we could go in on 2 of the velox kits. However, shipping is crazy.

Larry

I still have not ruled out the Funtana. I use to have the Funtana 90 with a saito 180. Flew great. Then i had a Ultra RC Giles with a YS 140. However, I had to do extensive mods to it as the landing gear it comes with is crappy at best. Some liked it, not me. It did fly good.

Mike07 is right, I love my funtana with my YS1.10. I really never get past half throttle. I went full once going verticle but it has good verticle at half. Its a really easy build. The hardwart is great too. A really important thing with me is the manual, I hate it when planes have sucky manuals. The x100's manual is great step by step photos and it explains everything in english...not some other laugage's translation.

If you like to go fast this plane IS NOT FOR YOU!!! The x100 will do anything you want at a low throttle setting. HIGHLY RECOMEND this plane and motor combo. You can check out my gallery for some pics of it flying. (I think I put some on there?????)

Good luck with what ever plane you decide to get.
