Default H9 Twist 40 With 90 *Pics*

just finished up the swap. Originally i had a evo 46 with a 12x4 prop. I swapped out for a super tiger 90. I used the original mount and modified it a little. Its now swinging a 15x4. I set the motor back an inch and my cg came out just right. No weight added.

Please post how that flies !! That is great , should have unlimited power !! Try not to rip the wings off !!

Anything will fly if you throw enough power at it.

The weight difference is not worth the performance here. I had a couple of these a few years back when I started out. The flying difference between a 46 and 61 was pretty big, especially landing. Better to use like an OS 50 which will hover it and still be light.

exactly thats what i mean, i u have the twist and u want to fly sport ok put the 46, but if u want to try 3D i think that "at least" the 55 at least.

i would go for the 60, or if u have the chance the 82 , 4 stroke.

That depends. If he wants superior hovering performance this 90 will dominate the evo 46 8 days a week. Im sure the 10ish oz. increase in motor weight will change the flight characteristics but the weight of the motor is minimal compaired to the increase in power and ability to swing a much larger prop.

You may not like the way the plane flys but he might think its the best thing since sliced bread. I mean, come on...there are people that actually like to fly gliders...***!??

haha capitin-d... true... but between that heavy engine and those wheels there is another plane there!

But I am sure it will be a hovering animal!
