I've been looking at the same plane and plan on ordering one in about a week. I've looked for info with minimal results. I have found info of Peakmodel themselves and it has all been good. If/when I get one I'll make sure to post about it.

i downloaded the manual for this plane and its identical assembly wording and pictures to my 70 yak. looks like it has a 1 inch wider wing but identical fuse and assembly.

expand your search to include tlt aviation, cermark, east rc, green models, maxford , abell rc

i did a build thread on the "tlt aviation 25 percent yak" in the giant scale forum here on r.c.u. should be able see the pics i did during assembly to see how it is made internally. the photos at the bottom of the 71 inch link are identical the ones presented on the tlt build thread

the "other" giant forum that will not be named has an east rc 25 percent yak thread.

watch the cowl mount ears for delamination, watch the little round wood plyboard that the nylon/plastic wing bolt screws into for delamination and re inforce the landing gear since it is a 2 piece gear system (according to the manual i have not physically seen this 71 inch plane)

if flies good and strait. very fun plane for the price

I know ARf MFG builds their 70" Yak. If you do a search on ARF MFG you will see allot of Peaks planes on there, but I did not see the 71". It does look like a nice plane.

According to the construction and accessories, I believe that 71' is ARf's model. compare with the 50cc's, it will be easy to see that peak likes to want ARF to build the color what he want. and the color is beautiful that i really like to get one.

The 70 and 71 inch planes are identical. The 71 has a revised motor box and a new color sceme. I have had both... They are good flying planes and need little rework out of the box. It is wise to beef up the cowl mounting ears though.
Peak builds the ARF MFG, Maxford, EastRC, TLT and Abells... and a few more... Can't beat it for the money.

i'd rather buy the ef 74'' YAK, spend a little more for better quality and a plane that can 3d.

sorry, i've seen both fly and would not want one in my hangar.

Well, I bit the bullet and bought one with the SPE 43cc combo. Hopefully that will be enough power to hover it around 1/2 throttle at 7,000' of elevation. It will be my first gasser so we'll see how that goes. I'll make sure to post here when it arrives.

I bought the extra 330 with the SPE43 last year and it had lots of power. I ended up putting a os 120ax in it. The SPE should be good for the new Yak at that elevation. Let us know how it goes.

Well, it just showed up today. Took 13 days to get here. Actually, shipping only took 6 days, it just took Peakmodel 5 days to get it shipped and by then it was the weekend! Like I have read, they did send me an e-mail containing pictures of my actual box. It was packed very well, I found only one thing; one of the mounting tabs on one of the vertical stabalizes is cracked. A little CA and it will be as good as new. The plane looks great! Good color scheme, I got the blue one; I've found that deeper colors stick out more, especially in the snow. I could not find the instructions in the box though, so I printed them off peakmodel. Now that I've done that I'll probably find them! It will probably be a little bit before It's completed, at 16 I don't come across money all that quick. I already have most of the stuff I need, just a couple more servos and some miscellaneous items. This will be a pretty budget project so we'll see how it goes.

Here's just a couple pictures of mine. I got the tail surfaces all set and the motor mounted. Test fired it up today without much of a problem, just a lot of back and forth on the choke with a lot of firing before it decided to go. Looks like I'll only need two more servos for it to be ready. Lets hope I can get them and get this plane up in the air before the snow falls, we got a light dusting this weekend.

Got the cowl done. I think that's everything until I can get those two servos. I had to butcher the cowl pretty good to get the 43cc to fit, still looks good though. Can't wait to get this bird up in the air. I was going to break in the engine this weekend, but its suppose to snow again [:@] I might have to maiden her off the snow if I can't get those servos soon.

Thanks apriliamille, I'll make sure to watch the cowl mounting ears.
Here's some pictures of the front end.

I've got everything I need to get it going. The engine still needs some more run time before I fly it though. I'll see if I can do that and get it up in the air in a week or so. I'll make sure to post here when I do.
