Could anyone tell me where I can get some good information on 3d flying. ie how to do each manouver and possibly pics and short vids to assist.

i was just about to say that cuz it's mine! Based in the UK too which might help.... give us a shout if you need anything specific.

Can download hype vids but they will not play. Windows Media Player says that the file format is not supported.

hi malc did you save the files to disk or just double click on them ???

you have to save them to disk i havent had any problems with them

Try playing them in quicktime. That's what I ended up doing.

yeah quicktime and realplayer tend to be more consitent across the audience!

Well I got a pic of the funtana on Saturday at a show, got another show this saturday which I should be flying it at. The week fater i'm flying the 3Styla at Wings n Wheels, but probably not funtana.

also, I'm gettin a C-ARF (Fiberclassics) Extra 35% soon as my edge is sold. Also might get my big beastly sukhoi flying if I sell a heli!

Good luck with your funtana, tho you should fly it yourself, its a ***** of a plane!

I seen naths funtana going robert he put on a good display he dont care where he puts the sticks lol...I like a bit of both smooth flying and 3D im mostly better at smooth flying still good at 3D though...Just got a new set up for my 3styla it flys lovely now does parachutes very quickly...
Nathan is your 3styla gonna be built before wings and wheels it would be gr8 if 4 of us are flying them in the same slot...

Yeah me and Martin are displaying the 3Stylas at Blackburn on Sunday, and mine should be done, although I'll be flying Skinner's.

I have a solo slot with the funtana, and I can also get one with my freestyle... which could be crazy!

We're looking into the FCs now, Andy told me about 650 ARTF for the airframe.

flying from 10 - 8 ... i'll be flying between 11 and 2... should have 3 slots.

My plan is to go through all the 3D maneuvers that I know, with their names called on the PA, and then carry on with some freestyle stuff... probably won't go to plan, but there we go!

I might not go to Woodsprings this year, 4 Weekends of shows in a row is a little much!


Malc, on July 26th there's a 3D fly-in at my club. We're about 20 mins west of Chester. There are spaces for 30 pilots, solo slots, or flying off the peg sessions. Interested? It would be helpful if you could confirm this by registering in advance (to keep the numbers below 30) but it doesn't matter really.

The offer is much appreciated but I don`t think I`m quite of the that standard yet, I am getting to terms with 3D and can prop hang my Hype no problem, but get disorientated when torque rolling.(rudder)
Not been trying for long though so with practice hopefully I will soon get there.
I have only had my Hype for about four weeks so I am still getting used to that as well.
I may come and watch though.

Try to go to woodsprings ask dale if he will bring you its mad there....

I will probably see you at wings and wheels. There is a stand there every year that sells props at remarkably cheap prices, so i will get lots for my Moki there. Were you part of the 3style team at Ascot? I would love to see your funtana fly at wingsnwheels ! Havent seen one fly in the flesh yet!
Hows it fly like? Is knife edge good? How well does it 3D in general?

Those fiber classics extras are very nice.
Phil Vandries has got one that looks very nice indeed.
When i go for a biggie aerobat (the funtanas pretty big though- the iggest ive gone so far is 60 size!)
i think i will scale up the Funtana pro plan to TOC size and get dad to build it with some refinements if it can be improved..................

Yeah the one's we're aftyer are the same as phil's, having seen Paul's!

I wont be flying the funtana at any more shows this year apart from the North Wales 3d Fly in and possibly Eastnor.

Reason being the mount has to go back to italy cuz it's broke already! 8 flights so far lol .... shame cuz i was gonna fly it at a show today and as soon as i started it up it twisted right outta place

Just gotta hope probuild are good enough!

How was vobration with your mount nath? At low RPM mine is really banging around tha place, really banging!
