H9 Funtana spinners???

What is everyone that is running a Saito .72 or larger doing for your spinner. The plane calls for a 2 1/4", how is everyone making this work out with the larger props? I'm running a Master Airscrew 13 x 6, if I trim a 2 1/4" spinner to fit there isn't much spinner left. I don't want to spend $50.00 plus for a custome cut aluminum one. Suggestions please. Thanks.

I would toss the plastic spinner and use one with at least an aluminum backplate. That's if your using a 4 stroke which likes to backfire and eat plastic spinner backplates. I got a GP one from the hobbyshop for under $6. I cut mine about 3/16" for a 13x4W APC.

I too could not get myself to spend $50 for a good TruTurn...I was very close to pressing that CONFIRM ORDER button though!!!!

I use 2 1/2" plastic and aluminum spinners on Saito 80 and OS91 4-strokes. Never had any problem stuffing all manner of props in there without any trimming. Maybe the plane wont mind if you put a 1/4" bigger one on than the 2 1/4 recommeded.

Cheers

The Tru turn 2 1/4" Ultimate Style spinner with the 120/ slot is the best option. It is much cheaper at Central hobbies than tru turn though. And theirs is the lightened version. Have to call then for best price.
