Better hope that you don't have any problems With Value Hobby!

B-6 charger went out after a 3 months use, got real hot charging the bigger batteries. So i called Alex, He said ship it back, and pay for shipping to exchange. So the b-6 got so hot, Thought the B-8 with a fan would be better. Alex ended up giving only 20$ toward the b-8. Knew I was in trouble then, When someone does not keep there word.

Then get the B-8 in late December, Works pretty good for a few charges. Real slow to balance the Batts. Then tried the 2x3s to 6s charge lead http://www.valuehobby.com/product_de...13&item_id=173. Well after starting to charge it blew off one of the balance leads. (lucky there was no fire)

Then started to charge a 4s batt. Started charging, When I came back in, It also let out the smoke!

Alex, Value Hobby refuse to stand behind his products.

Will not buy any thing for them again!

Very disappointed, In there disrespect for the customers.

I got the Imax B8 8-Cell Li-PO/A123 Balance Charger and Power Supply Combo for Christmas. Mine seems to charge fine. It does seem to charge over 4.2 and has gone as high as 4.5. Another fellow at our field has the same charger and it's been ok for a pretty good while. What size lipo were you charging and at how many amps?

I've been using the Electrify Triton EQ and it has worked flawlessly for over a year now. It charges every pack I own with no problems. Sure there are cheaper chargers out there, but being new to electrics I purchased a charger from a well known company. Its unfortunate you have had so many problems with them. I would reccomend going with a different brand of charger.

Had the b-8 on 5 amps when the twin adapter shorted. Most of the time it is set on 7 amps, charging one batt. @ a time.

Will be looking for a more reliable charger set up!

BOUGHT A VALUE HOBBY LIPO 4S 3000 AND IT DROPPED A CELL IN A MATTER OF A FEW FLIGHTS.NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

Looking at the Skyrc website, the b8 should have a certificate authentication on the back. my two have none. the manual states 12 month warraty, But nowhere to send it.
