Learning 3D is FRUSTRATING!!
....... But it has it's payoffs.....
Last night, right before sundown, I finally nailed a good 20 second hover. Then I repeated it two more times..... Help. I'm addicted. |

I would say it differently.
Learning 3D is rewarding. Snafus along the way can be frustrating. |

Get a helicopter, they really help your 3d flying!!! they are also the most rewarding, scary and frustrating thing that you will fly!!

RE: Learning 3D is FRUSTRATING!!
I started into 3D about 4 years ago by accident but eventually learned alot od 3d manuvers.I destroyed a few planes learning how to do it and god knows how many landing gears.I'm still learning simply because I am not an addict ..my older pilots in my ny club tend to tease and scff at 3d particularly because they are electric.but I fly gas too.hovering is hard ..I can do it maybe 10 seconds .but I have mastered blenders and knife edge spins along with elevators walls and the like.I am determined this summer to learn rolling harriers and nail down a decent hover.but if I dont I stillhave alot of fun..
yes it can be frustrating especially when it crashes but its a great challenge as I get tired of flying just loops and circles.I like pushing myself to learn.. |
RE: Learning 3D is FRUSTRATING!!
I started into 3D late last Fall with electric's. I have the Eratix 3D, Addiction X, and the new EF 60" Edge 540. All are very 3D capable planes. It's just up to me to learn a little more. I'm still having a little trouble with hovering and I think I'm just over controlling. On average I'm running about 60% expo so I don't think I'm over dueing it. I only get out once or twice a week so it may still take some time. I'm really enjoying it though.

My hat goes off to anyone who attemps 3D.
My attempt failed, but I still fly loops, not circles, generally up and down the runway. :D 3D has changed this hobby forever. Absolutely for the good. Hobby or "Sport?" A Sport it probably is. |
RE: Learning 3D is FRUSTRATING!!
Keep pushing and pushing, fly better EVERY TIME you fly and you will succeed (providing you have the necessary talent, reaction speeds and balls).
