Pull Pull Question
On pull pull cables I used to loop one end through either the control horn or the servo arm. On this airplane I'm working on I will have to use a clevis on the control horn because of its style. Can I loop the other end through an ALUMINIUM servo arm, or do I need a clevis or ball link? Tom

depends
Depends on the amount of force that's going to be going thru the cable. On a 60 size airplne, I wouldn't worry too much.
I have a Stinger with a 3.2 gas engine on it. I had the loops directly thru an aluminum arm and was worried that the cable would start cutting thru the aluminum and possibly loosen up or cause some other problem. It's easy enough to mount a clevis or ball joint to the arm with an eyelet in it to run the cable thru. |
pull pull
The airplane is a Diablotin Super with a HP.40. The flying weight will be just over 3.5lbs, so every bit of weight savings helps. Tom
