Hitec Throttle Servo

What is a good throttle servo to have for my plane so that the throttle will respond well while perfomring hovers etc. Also i need it to be an Hitec

RE: Hitec Throttle Servo

What size plane, why only hitec ( mostly use anyway )?

I use the HS65 HB on all up the DLE 30. you may not think a strong servo but had my Saito 125 break loose from the firewall on my Revolver and the servo still working help the engine on the plane....

The HS85 digital is a great servo also.

I use $10 Micro servos on the throttle on all of my planes. 20oz of torque is plenty for a throttle, and a3/4oz servo is a savings of weight. I am kind of funny about weight, but an ounce is an ounce.

RE: Hitec Throttle Servo

I've used HXT900's on .40 size glow planes quite a bit, and Hitec 82mg's and Hitec 225mg's on my 50cc gassers. I've also had good luck with Emax ES08D mg digital micros in a couple planes, and use one now in my Saito .82 powered profile. I agree, the weight savings is nice...

Appreciate all the input it is an aerotech 42% edge that i will be putting together. But again thanks for all the suggestions and what not.

Dont play games, get a decent servo, I use 5625's on the throttles on my 50cc planes. They hold up well to the vibration.

RE: Hitec Throttle Servo

A digital hs-85 is plenty for any engine size unless the throttle spring is left on but if on such a large plane just use the standard digital's that came with radio or get the
HS-5485 digital standard for about 20-25 dollars digital with 80 ounces of torque.
also on large control surface's counter balance them. this will save a ton on battery power specially with digital servos, then can run a 8711 or HS-m7990TH lol
