I just got Aerofly professional and can't believe how realistic it is. The planes fly almost exactly like real ones. I have been practicing 3D (Prophangs and harriers mostly) with the simulation speed turned down to make it easier to respond to the planes movements. I turned it up a little bit and can still hover for a short amound of time. My question is, what can I do to make hovering easier, the plane always falls to the belly or canopy when I am hovering (after I get it into hover for a little while), and when trying to harrier the plane likes to go into a hover attitude and I have to pull out. I have been using the Cap 232 and the Giles TOC, both hover and harrier about as good. I set the CG to 3 inchs back and it seemed to help a little bit, but the plane still seems to want to go to level. I tried it with 5 inchs back but the plane was too hard to control (The plane would overotate and was very touchy). I put in 60% expo on the sim and it calmed the planes down a bit. what else can I do to make it easier?

Good point. I just wanted to know any tips that I can do with my fingers on the controls, and also setup tips. I added 3 degrees of upthrust to counteract the landing gear wieght and it hovers vertically better. It gets a little easier each time, so I will just have to keep practicing.

After some practice your fingers will be automatically correcting for every move of the plane. After even more practice you'll be correcting even before you see the plane move.

wow, youve bothered to edit a plane properly?!?!?!?

my problem is i cant make it harrier, it just pitches up, less throw maby?!?!

I heard that with some planes you dont need full up to harrier(the mini Ifo is an example)

Now i have got turbulence turned up loads so that it is more difficult than the real thing. The good thing is obviously that when you do some real flying its easier and makes you feel like a better pilot than you really are! :D
I still havent worked out how to edit motor upthrust and power with the cap yet!

When you feel comfortable with Aerofly, build a PQHOR. The PQHOR is by far the easiest hovering/most durable plane out there and it only costs $15. I have run out of fuel hovering at 20ft, nose in, no damage :) I've put mine in 20 times practicing tail touches and it's still flying.

Check out spadtothebone.com but make your fuse and wing 36" and don't taper the control sufaces. Flys a little different than a regular plane but after 10 flights you'll be hooked :D

That is what I was planning on doing. To add upthrust, you push "Fly" on the main menu but don't take off. Go to "File" and click on "Edit aircraft." To change the CG, click on the fuse and down in the right corner there will be a icon of a plane with a balance point. Click on this and then change the first cg on the bottom corner (The one farthest left). Negative CG moves make it farther back. To change upthrust, select the engine and add negative downthrust (There is no upthrust option)

How do you select the engine?
I have tried clicking all around the cap and the extras engines and all it selects is either the prop or the fuelage.

go to the top and where it says objects, click that, scroll down to where it says engine, and bob could well be your uncle.

each plane will need a different style too. Ive flown one that you put in full elevator and just find the right throttle setting and drive it around with the rudder. My sukhoi I have to find the right elevator setting while being FAST on the ailerons to stop the rocking.
