I got a practise with my 3Styla today for the freestyle. It goes fien in the wind, still easy to hover, little more difficult to TR though. I'm happy I can still do my 'best bits' in a wind and downwind.
What day you going to the freestyle ed? i'm thinkin of goin Saturday night. 4 1/2 hour drive for me c |

4 1/2 hours, you must be mad! im about 3/4 hour away, im definatly going!
PS nathan: read the weekenders collom of RCM&E yesterday, why are you apparently called Nathan "flat out" farrell-jones, if thats how you fly your 3D planes, well! |

my cougar was a dog in the updrafts/downdrafts at one point our windsock was pointing straight UP in the lift. i bet the glider guiders were in their element! looks nice dean, is there much coupling in k/e,i quite fancy one myself |

my cougar was terrible. i hardly fly above 50 feet, unless im doing a climb and glide, but mot the time im only 10 feet up so i was a bit annoyed when i pulled to hover and an updraft caught a wing and flipped it inverted  luckly i wasnt to low cos it was really on the limet to prophang, even at 45*.
My cougars 1.5kg (weston say its 1.6kg) so that dont help when a sudden gust comes when im going crosswing touch n goes, i had to jump out the way a few times cos the plane suddenly banked towards me, i fly too close, gotta stop that, it'll get me one day :p |

Ed: although not quite so much with the 3styla, I used to fly my freestyle extremely fast! I think thats's where the name came from.
My 3styla on Saturday (prior to severe engine problems :s) |

Woohoo I had a really good practise tonight :d
I've decided not to follow a routine now. It is after all, freestyle! The 3styla does knife edge well. Knife edge loops are great. They do need coupling, but I prefer to do it manually. The inverted harrier is awesome... nearly as good as the 2m funtana! Good fun in a wind! Managed to inverted auto rotate me heli tonight aswell... smashed the cockpit part of the canopy lol... quite a hard smack aswell! |

cool nathan ive done a inverted auto with my raptor before and i got away with about £10worth of damage which i thought was good..I come down nice lol...what sort of damage to the heli?
just sorted my 3styla put another 8 chanel reciever and sorted my elevators out so watch out for more low harriers inverted now lol... i just love the 3styla...Just tried to email inwood but im not getting any reply of them regardcing buying a small funtana i realy want wanna of these planes they are lovely to fly..i flew one on sunday and this guy had lods of expo so i was'nt on it much as i dont like much exspo Regards Dean |

Im either back Wed. or Fri. GCSEs!!!! AGHHHH!!!!
i think at some points i was a foot away from my cougar today :p a tad scary but......yeh when i used to prophang close in it used to be around 50*. today i was up at around 85*to 90*, i did loads of tail taps and i found the wind to be very helpfull rather than a neusence! pushed it back, got closer to me, i will pick it out of the air next time, i WILL!!! |
3styla finally finished
lol last time I tried that with me limbo dancer i was just rechin out to grabn it when it ran out of fuel and snapped all the tail off lol.
Done it with the hype loads of times, especially when i used to leave the u/c off. Now that ive done it a few times the buzz has gone. i'd rather not take the risk of doing it now. Lol the hype was a bugger to catch cuz the fuz is quite long.... when the bit you're trying to grab is around shoulder height the tail is almost on the floor. I still get others to catch planes though, thats good fun. I remember watchin paul heckles, he took his wot 4 up high, cut the engine and flew the plane towards him just over head height then caught it by the spinner! Jammy b@$%^d |
3styla finally finished
