Extreme Flight 47 Yak54e Motor Help!

I just picked up an Extreme Flight 47" Yak54e at a swap meet with no power system. Does anyone have this plane, if so what motor are you using in it? The manual calls for a Torque 2814/820 or 2818/900Outrunner and a Airboss 45 Elite Sensorless ESC, but they are out of stock. This is my first electric plane so I don't know much about selecting a power system. I am having trouble finding a 2814/820 motor from other manufactures can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

DG40 thanks for the quick response. How much difference in performance would there be between the two sizes of motors?

Eflight has another good motor choice with the power 25 with 870Kv I flew this one on a Fliton AJ same size and weight on a 4 cell 2200 pack and a 13x6.5 APC E prop. I think it was close to 800 watts.

I use the lighter option in a 3dhobbyshop 47" shp on 3s2200 battery and is a floaty ballerina.
The heavier option is in a 3dhobbyshop 47" edge on 4s2600 battery and is a wicked 3d monster with loads of power and more inertia for wild maneuvers.

Sometimes I'll put the lighter battery in the edge and have in between experience.

Both are awesome, Just different.

I have been looking around for a less expensive option and I ran across the E-Max GT2820/07

I also found a Hurc 50 Amp ESC on their website.

Does anyone know anything about the E-Max GT motor, the Hurc ESC'sor anything about Headsuprc.com

Don't know anything about that combo but the spec's are good for the high power setup.

I bought stuff from there some time ago without issues.

Specs on this motor look pretty close also. A thread I found said the Turnigy SK3 motors were made by the same company that makes Hacker, O.S. and Torque motors. I don't know if this would be better than the Emax? I know the Torque, Omega and Hacker motors are considered top of the line but they are also pricey. I am looking for a cheaper alternative for motor and esc. Opinions?<a href="http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18164__Turnigy_Aerodrive_SK3_3542_800kv_Brushles s_Outrunner_Motor.html">

Dr Kiwi on rcgroups did test on a bunch of those motors and the results were very positive.

DrKiwi is an analyst/engineer or something and is considered very knowledgeable with motors.

The Turngy is a good motor for this plane.

Go with a light setup.

3s 2800mah battery (GenAce or Gforce from Value Hobby) and 14/7 APC prop.
