Knife edge spin

How do I make my plane to do a knife edge spin? I have a flip 3d and don't have a clue to what the stick inputs are for that maneuver.
Can someone help:eek:

I have a profile plane that does it great, here is what I do:

Start high, this manuever produces very little lift to keep the plane up, so it comes down like a rock.

Pull it to verticle, throttle at idle, wait for it to stop,
Right when it stops, put both sticks in the upper left corners, so full throttle, full left rudder, full down elevator, full left aileron.

You may need to move the aileron stick out a little bit depending on your throws, but try throwing the sticks to the upper left and see what you get. Let me know

Here is another method that i came up with for my Magic Extra.

This requires reflex mixing (think that is what it is called). The flaperons are mixed with the elevater so when you give down elevater the flaperons also move in the same direction.

Gain a ton of altitude, then pitch the nose down into a descending roll to the left, you should be at low throttle. let it roll then at the same time give up elevater/flaperon and right rudder. It should enter a wingtip spin. If you cross the aileron you would obviously enter a flatspin. When you get comfy you can do some blender/wingtip spin combos with this method.

Here is another VERY EASY WAY to do the inverted flat spin. Take the plane straight vertical, go up a ways. Back off the throttle to idle. Just before it starts sliding backwards, take the rudder/throttle stick to the lower right corner and put the ele/aileron stick in the upper left corner.

At this point you are full down elevator, full left aileron, full right rudder and NO throttle . This will start the inverted spin. Let it go for a couple of revolutions then make it flat.

To make it a FLAT spin, start adding throttle AND creeping the ailerons over to the other side . How much throttle and opposite aileron is up to you and the plane. Leave the rudder all the way right and the elevator shoved forward. If it is capable of a flat spin, it will flatten out nicely with opposite aileron and the addition of some throttle.

I have a planes that will flat spin like crazy doing exactly this. Some will enter in many other ways, but this way will work for most anything capable. The magic will spin tightly and sometimes just ball up into a slowly descending tumple. It's kind of cool.

my cap does it the same. however, i can also enter it by stalling the plane upside down while applying full down elevator and rudder, then keep giving it ailerons until it is sideways while increasing power. remember, the plane is stalled. if you add power too early, you will ruin it. keep londing those imputs, and increase the throtle until you are comfortable with it. also, if you want to enter a flat spin from the knife edge, stop giving it rudder and down elevator, and wait for it so start to center itself, then increase the throttle. i can do that with my cap.

thanks guys for all the replays on this topic. Have to wait for the weekend and I am going to try this on my plane, I will let you know how it goes.:)
