Getting back in the hobby. Need .40 .46 sized 3D flyer

Need some suggestions guys.
Id like to get small 3d flyer but don't want electric.
Preferably gas powered or saito.
All the planes I knew when I was in the hobby are no longer available.
Appreciate your help.

Maybe something like this?

Yes something like that. Now is there any small gasser to power that plane and give it enough power for 3D?

The 10cc class gas would do it I think. The problem is the 10cc class is so new you're going to have a tough time finding others running them in 3D or even performance applications. I have a 10cc Evo on this plane:

At 5lbs. w/650 sq in of wing area, it's an outstanding performer, but I haven't spent the time required to get it into 3D trim yet.

Point being, the Saber is lighter yet, with more wing area - both bonuses when considering 3D aspects. In glow form, and electric, this plane has a pretty good reputation. Though I haven't done it myself (yet?), it's on the short list as I'm pretty sure the plane has potential.

In addition to the ignition type gas engines, there are also those engines using glow plugs in place of the ignitions. The feedback on these are mixed, so hesitant to to suggest/recommend. The NGH 9 is in this class, but they have issues. Suggest you not consider one.

Evo, RCGF and OS are the ones to pick from.

Thank you for your help. I'll look into it. Seen a video of a profile plane with os 10 gasser but it didn't look like plane had enough power to pull out of the hover. Didn't find any in flight video of the evolution engine in 3d plane.
Thanks again.

Don't think you're going to find a 10cc gasser with outstanding hover pull out (yet?). Enough to leave you with some confidence it's going to is about all you can expect. If you're looking for more, glow or electric might be your better plans.

Evo about the same as a 55AX on power, does a nice job with an APC 13x6, but it is heavier (525g vs. 627g). So they're close, but the nod must be given to the glow engine for pure 3D ability.
