UCD wants to fall out of a hover
 

I have a UCD 3D. My favorite plane. I have been getting good at hovering, but I have a problem with it. I always have to give it right rudder or it falls out. It could possibly be the rudder being a bit warped from a mishap. I got a new one, but have not installed it. Could it be that or could there be something else.

Most planes try to fall out. It wouldn't be much fun if you just put it there and hit the gas. I'd check lateral balance if the fall is 100% of the time to the right, then look at thrust angle changes.

Most planes fall towards the gear and left. This is due to the balance of the plane and torque of the engine.

Just for checking it out, trim the plane with two clicks left rudder and see what happens. That would tell you about warps and the like, but generally will not 100% fix balance of thrust problems.

Hands off hovering looks cool in pictures, but most times a second or two of hands off hovering is all any plane can do. It takes pretty much constant input to hold a hover.

Put some right thrust in the motor.

I can hold the hover for a couple of minutes, but I constantly hold right rudder. I will see about the thrust. In strait flight the aielerons are not even and I think it has something to do with the rudder. Because of this it looks like it wants to torque the opposite way it should.

I agree, add a degree or two of right thrust.

I agree on the right thrust! I have 3 washers behind my engine mount and firewall. 6" CG helps also! Also add in spoilerons!
