SNAP BLENDER

OK, I'm sure some one out there has tried this, but I was experimenting today with some blenders and got my Funtana wrapped up really tight.
You guys have to try this and report back. Hopefully with no broken wings or tails.

First, check over your airframe and control links. This is not for the faint of heart or weak airframe. I still like my Funtana, so I only did these at idle. Add throttle at your own discretion!

The "Snap Blender"
Get up really high, nose over into vertical dive at idle (or full throttle if you've got a carbon Funtana). I usually start a slow ail roll to the left, gradually increasing the roll rate until I'm at full aileron throw. Now usually I throw the plane into inverted spin or inverted flat spin. But I found that if I add full same direction rudder (in this case, left rud with left ail) just before I throw it into the inverted spin, the plane will wrap up really really tight and you'll grin from ear to ear. After adding the same direction rudder, reverse the rudder and add full down elev to go into the inverted spin, flatten the spin and recover however you normally do.
How low you do this will add to the wow factor.
Check your wings, tail, links, etc after the flight and make sure the plane is ok.
Fuel up and repeat. Grin some more:D:D

RE: SNAP BLENDER

hmmm...wouldnt that make for a tip spin? I know that mine will get into this airframe-bending tip spin that can be stopped in about 4 feet. Its fun, but then i got too low :( no harm done, i had it back in the air within the day :D
