Engine for Lanier 1/3 Scale Extra 300
 

A friend just picked up a Lanier Extra 300. He wants a twin cylinder and was considering the Zenoah 80.

Has anyone flown this combo or anything similar (H9 Cap, 300)?

He wants 3D, Hover performance!

Is there a better engine? Of course he is on a budget!

yea i agree DA all the way, though ive never flown with one, were gonna get one for my new h9 cap 232 in bout...well a long time. :rolleyes:

Your friend will want to consider the Godfrey mods to this plane. You do NOT want to build it with the plastic turtledeck, cowl & wheelpants.

Modifications are also necessary to the rudder and elevators if you want to do 3D.

I have one modified and powered with a BME 102. Flies pattern very well. I am not yet 3D capable, but will be increasing those throws soon.
