Mounting rudder servo on Magic

I've seen the pictures of mounting the rudder servo back by the vertical fin, but how do you do it? Is there just a couple of pieces of hardwood glued to the fuselage skin to screw the servo into, or are there other things to reinforce? Thanks, Tom

I stood the servo on the fuse, just in front of the fin and traced it with a sharp knife. Then cut out a hole and dropped in the servo. Servo screws went right into the top of the fuse. That's what I did with a mini servo, no reinforcing. A standard servo would be a larger hole, you may want to brush a little epoxy around in the hole to give it strength.

geoharry-RCU. Thanks for the info. I'm suprised that there is no hardwood used. The epoxy is a good idea. I haven't got my plane yet, just trying to get everything in order. How thick is the sheeting back there? Thanks, Tom.

The fuse top is very thick basla near the vertical stab, maybe 1/4 inch thick from memory. I didn't notice any weakness after the hole was cut.
