HYPE 3D
 

OK, I just ordered a Hype and I am wondering what engine I should use
I have a YS 63 and a OS 50 are there any better candidates out there?
also, I have read that some guys are using 2 elevator servos ? is this necessary?
I'm thinking digitals around 70oz/in should be good for 3d as this is what I have on my Flip 3d and this
works well.

The YS63 will be sweet. No need for 2 elevator servos....The Hype flies smoother without that extra weight right on the tail.[:@]

YS all the way! From wot ive herd these are the best motors money can buy, so thats definatly a good sign. I will have to prove this to myself very soon:eek:

The servos whould be fine. Im running s-148s in my flip and although its not the bes, it DOES work

Ahhh, the Hype 3D. What all the other planes wished they were.

No need for 2 elevator servos, it would throw the balance off big time, anyway. 70 on the elevator should be ok. You will want some heavy torque on the ailerons.

You can never go wrong with a YS, however you would have to do some serious mods to put the tank on the CG to take full advantage of the YS.

The OS 50 would fly the plane and allow it to hover, however the West 50T1 is what the plane was designed for. And it flys it GREAT!
