elevator feels realy stiff
 
i just hinged my elevators on my funtana and to move them by hand they feel really stiff do you think this will be a problem. thanks

CA hinges? If so, just work them back and forth a whole bunch to "work them in" and soften the CA in the joint, if they are pinned style hinges put a drop of thin oil in them after the glue dries. Hope this helps some :D

i have the ca hinges i'll try working them back in forth they are not real stiff but are quite a bit stiffer than the ailerons and the rudder.

Did you stick a T pin in the middle for propper spacing? If you have them too tight they will bind too, they require a small gap to work as freely as they are supposed to anyways. Also, make sure you dont have any excess epoxy on the center joiner wire between the elevators, this would cause some binding as well. Good luck.

I can't take credit for this tip ,but it works great.Before you install them. Put a mark across the CA hinge at the center with a Crayon. This will keep the CA from soaking into the center line. The hinges will stay loose even after the CA is soaked in. David
