Capiche set up

I have just finished my capiche 50 and have 2 Futaba S9402 sevos in the tail and 2 Futaba S9206 on the ailerons. The engine is an Irvine 53 with an APC 11.75 x 3.25 prop what are you lot using as a set up for the model how well does it work. are you happy with it or would you cange anything[sm=bananahead.gif]

RE: Capiche set up

My capiche has:

Saito 72
Hitec Hs 945 coreless on elevator and rudder
Futaba 3010 on ailerons
micro servo on throttle.

Very happy, but i am starting to experiment with lighter batteries and light wooden props to save weight.
Even though its ballistic, I also wouldn't mind the extra power of a ys 63, but i may get that out of the saito by just using higher nitro fuel.

RE: Capiche set up

peter, im using the saito 72 in my capiche, with futaba 9303s on rud and ele with 9001s now on ailerons,it does go well on this set up with power to spare for high alpha etc, what are you looking at in terms off set,3d, pattern style flying or both?i have set the cg on mine to a happy medium, with rate switch for 3d and sport.

Hi Peter

You certainly seem to have gone to town on the servos.... your choice will achieve uncompromised results from the design.

Im only surprised by the comparative inexpence in engine selection, but that said, the Irv 53 is ample to make the model a powerful 3D bag of fun !

Re Prop I assume you mean 12,25x3,75.... in which case this is a good choice for the plane if you want to explore 3D, else go with 11x6 or 7 - 12x6 for sports aero and pattern style flying...

Finally...if you are the person with a virgin.net email account can you let IH know... on this thread... apparently they keep getting message delivery failures in reply to "peter m" emails....
thanks
how about a picture of your c50-?

RE: Capiche set up

Saito 72
Bolly 13.5x6 prop
Hitec 225 MGs on Ailerons
Supertec S09CLs (coreless) on tail
Ripmax SD200 on throttle.

The saito is fantastic for this model, but if buying from sratch I would have gone for the YS. Already had the Saito.

RE: Capiche set up

I had run out of money for the YS 63 so this was the only choice really.

picture coming soon[sm=lol.gif]
