Starting 3D !
 

I want to get started in 3D ....
there is no one in my region who knows 3D .... where do i start ... and how do i begin ?
Please help me out !

Hang around in this forum, picking up hints, download videos, and ask questions on how to do things.

There are loads of threads on how to do blenders, knife edge spins and so on.

1) Go onto the Horizon web site and read some of the articles that talk about 3D.
2) Buy a Sim and practice 3D
3) Get a plane that can 3D that has lots of power. I learned on the Extreme 330 w/ a Saito 72.
4) Don't be afraid to try new things and potentially crash
5) Start high

Basic 3D is easy - just throw the sticks and it's done. After that you need to learn how to control the maneuver.

I recommend a Sim (G2 works good) and soe altitude. Now many of the guys here might not fully support this but I wouldn't waste my money on something I could turn to sawdust if I mess up. I have done that way too many times. I fly one of these http://www.spadtothebone.com/SPAD/SPA3D/ Its VERY strong, crash resistant, hovers easily on a 40 LA nad bst of al costs about 10 bucks for materials. Thats about 5 for a total rebuild if ya manage to crash that hard. Good luck

I'll second what Nitro reccomended. Go to www.spad.org and go into the spad originals. Find the SPA3D. Print out the directions and go to building. Nearly everything you need to build it you can get at Home Depot or Wal-Mart. You may need to visit a local sign Co. for the Coroplast. It's super cheap to build, super easy to fly, and totaly indesructable. After a few weeks of flying the Spad, you'll be ready to tackle a true 3D ship.
