SPA3D with OS .46FX engine?

I just built and finished one of these fabulous SPA3D aircraft. I am putting a new OS .46FX engine on it and have chosen a 12x6 APC prop. is this a good combination for hovering, or should I change the prop?

My understanding is that the 12x6 is more a speec prop and mot a power prop, so I want to know from som other flyers what is the best combo...

I cannot wait to run this animal, and will be using 15% Cool Power glow fuel for my OS.

The plane balances just slightly aft of the CG by about 1/8 of an inch, which would make the hovering a bit easier I have been told. The model seems a bit heavier than I expected, by I have followed the instructions exactly, and hopefully the .46 will be enough...

Comments anyone?

I would run a 12x4 or a 12.25x3.75. I have tried both on my spad3dt and found that I like the 12x4 better. I'm running a Tower hobbies 46 on mine. Hovers and harriers like crazy. Hope you have fun with it.

I agree that the 12.25x3.75 and 12x4 are the best prop choices for this combo. The Spa3d is not built for speed, and that is what the 6 pitch prop will give you.
