Tank on CG,U-Can-Do .60

Guys..

Someone may have mentioned this allready but without trawling through thousands of threads...with the tank mounted between the UCD's two centre formers over the wing .. where have you been setting your C of G ....thanks ,Dave

5.5 to 6" will be fine. Start with 5.5" and move gradually to the rear. See what suits your flying style, and get a balance for 3D and smoothness. Having the CG farther forward seems to reduce the coupling needed in knife edge. Good luck .......

As always, Raj nails it. One note though. Regardless of weather the tank is on the CG or in the stock location it does not change the required CG for the plane, weather you choose the advised CG of 4 7/8" or a more agressive aft CG as RAJ pointed out. CG is in direct relation to the mean aerodynamic chord of the wing(MAC) and its placement at the center of mass of the fuse (COM). Regardless where you choose to distribute the location of the components. Joe
