learning the tricks
hi, i have been flying planes for a few years at the rate of 3 to 4 times per week. i have looked high and low for a book the teaches people how to do the 3 moves. i have a few planes that can fly 3d if i knew how to make it dance. i have a scale citabria 40 that i like to fly alot but its slow and relaxing, few basic tricks rolls, loops, so on ..... the 2 planes i like to rip around are the hanger 9 aristia 40 and my Cap 323. i have a little cheapy fun 51 profile plane to try new stuff with then move to my good planes. at this point i try flat spins but can get it to happen. i stall it out going vert as the plane tips in the stall i give full up elv. and right ali. and full right rudder. then as the plane starts to build a litte speed i cross the rudder back over slowly. it just flops and tumbbles, no spin.
well to get to the point here, i am looking for a book or mag. the will teach you the steps. i have real flight too but have problems with that as well on 3d. any tips would be a great help :D thanks Paul |
RE: learning the tricks
For flat spins, you cross the ailerons over, not the rudder. This then flattens out the spin. Do it gently, you need to find the sweet spot.
No books that I know of, this is too new and fluid an area. Some good websites though, do a search on this forum, loads of people are allways asking. Real Flight is not good for 3D, it doesnt like planes stalled. You can use it to learn torque rolling, and for improving general skill though. |
