Wooden Props
can you get 11x4 wooden props in the UK. id like to try one on my fun fly, i used a 10x6 and i liked it allot but the pitch was just too high IMO. i liked it tho cos of the high RPMs and fast spool up cos of the props light weight

RE: Wooden Props
Blimey ed, you using a spell checker now (apart from one little slip)?! [sm=tongue.gif]
Try 11x4 zinger, not a bad prop but quite noisy and slightly down on thrust compared to the APC. Worth a try though, just watch your landings, it can get expensive! |
RE: Wooden Props
what makes a prop different from another prop, why are zingers down on thrust, same diameter and pitch?
|
RE: Wooden Props
It depends on the width of the blades and the shape of the tips of the blades. You can have a prop the same pitch but wider blades and it will "spoon" more air. Props with blunt ends tend to be noiser than pointed ones.
