SIg 3-d Mayhem

Has anyone tried out the sig Mayhem yet? I'm looking to get my first 3-d plane. I havn't decided between the u-can-do .46 or the Mayhem. Any ideas on powerplants?

A buddy at the club has one. Flies almost exactly like the U CAN DO. But the Mayhem is a whole lot better looking airplane IMO.

I have both of these airplanes, I like the Mayhem best because knife edge flight is much better, other than there isn't much difference in the way they fly.

I have a Mayhem with an Enya R120 GP (33 oz. engine). It came out way nose heavy. I installed an additional elevator servo to offset the nose heavy condition. The's a pretty big thread on the Mayhem in this (3-D Flying) forum. I would use a Saito 100 (very lightweight) or YS 110 given the choice.

It's a good one. I have a Webra 120 in mine. If it's your first 3D start with the cg up front 29 to 30% and mild control throws. It'll hover set up this way and fly nice. After you get comfortable set your high rates to the extreme (probable more than the instructions call for) and start working your cg back. I'm at 38% now and it's a little trouble to land on an empty tank but manageable.

The OS91 pump 4 stroke is a great engine for the mayhem,, it will hover and pull out, remember the lighter you keep it the better it will do 3D...
