aerobatic moves
I was wondering if anyone out there might know where I could find some videos of different aerobatic manuvers. I am new to flying and have heard people speak of hammerheads and knife edge and imblemans(spelling?) but I do not know what they look like or what people are talking about. Don't get me wrong I am by no means good enough to try any of these moves yet but I was just wondering what they look like.

I don’t know about videos, but a very good book is “Roll Around A Point” by Dwane Cole. It’s available from Sporty’s Pilot Shop, or any bookstore can order it for you. It covers all the basic aerobatics. For the more advanced stuff he has another book “Conquest Of Lines And Symmetry”. Don't be intimidated. They are not as hard as you may think.

I dont think that these guys do any basic stuff but check out www.3drc.com, you can also check out www.downonthedeck.com and www.scaleaerobatics.com there are some good videos on both web sites. They never really explain what they are doing but its fun to watch. After begging the guy at scaleaerobatics he has rereleased the TOC videos on the website, check out some of the routines they are great.

Like Lou said the Duane Cole books are great I have both of them and it shows everyaerobatic manuever you could think of. It has a detailed description of how to do the manuever along with a drawing which is very easy to understand. although the book was meant for full scale pilots, it is still the same sequence

If you want to avoid buying books then listen to the guys at your local club and pick up some names of aerobatic moves and come on here and ask what they are and how you do them. I will be happy to walk you through every move. (I think I know all of them - with the Exception of the TOC Knowns).
