RE: 3d instruction

there are a few sites that give you the basics (what a maneuver should look like), but about the best instruction is to pick maneuvers one at a time and just practice.

I am just learning, but I wanted to learn to hover, so I went on the simulator for a few hours and then practiced while burning fuel in my Funtana 40. after a bit it just comes... (well it cost a few planes) Next was harrier... same thing.. practice on AFP for a bit then burn some fuel... and it comes (after another couple planes..)

there are a lot of cool vids that i watch to get ideas of how things should look (no-one around me flys 3d) check out www.3dbatix.com for some...i have been searching for others but i cant remember where i found them.

I know this isnt exactly what you are looking for... ie instructional sites.. but just the way I am learning..

Find a field that some guys fly 3d an just go watch. I know it really helped me to see some maneuvers. It helped me internalize them somehow so my thumbs knew what to do. It may not work for everybody but helped me.

3D University at:

www.flyingcirkus.com

You need to register, but it's free, and we're doing online instructional videos with picture-in-picture of the transmitter and airplane so you can see both aspects of what's happening.
