3D Simulator

Which is the best PC-simulator for practicing 3D? I have the Real Flight G2 now but not that pleased with it.

aerofly pro is pretty good. reflex xtr is hyped as good but ive never seen it in person.

RE: 3D Simulator

I tried Reflex XTR, seemed unrealistic a tad and that pits barrier thing, although is obviosuly a safety thing is very anonoying sometimes.

ive used both, i didnt have more than 10 mins on RTX but it flew BS. it was very sloppy and t felt as tho the servos were taking doube the length of time to get to the full throw, and the flip flew terrible, i had one and it flew 10x beter

afp on the other hand.............

ive just come of spendign about an hour on it. its great, very realistic for most things, apart from ground handelling. i woud recomend it to everyone cos without it, id be only half the pilot i am now:D

I wonder if a Graupner MC20 will work with Aerofly Pro or if the dummy transmiter from G2 would work.

Ian.W 08-16-2004 03:10 PM

RE: 3D Simulator

MC2o will if its got a trainer port with 5 pins in a semi circle. the dumm TX will work if youve got the interfave plugged in aswell

AFP is the best for 3D in my opinion....I have it and I have G2 and AFP is much much better for 3D. I tried Reflex and while the scenery and airplanes look awesome, the flight physics need some work.

Thanks for helping me out. No one that sells Aerofly here in Sweden yet so I have to order from USA or germany.

i got realflight and i got an extra and a cap that do 3D like a foamie! the only catch is i have totally redesigned the whole airplane, wing chord, airfoil, throws, weight, etc. but now i have two great flying airplanes, checkout my gallery!:D

RE: 3D Simulator

Aeroflypro.com will ship international and they are the best sim around ive tryed reflex(didnt like it but not getting into this agian) RFg2 and last but not least fms. Boy was fms fun but nothing can compare in the world of simulation to aeroflypro

ditto AFP, I can now hover my Excite 90 down on the deck. The practise with AFP taught me how to get out of trouble from any attitude.

I had the same problem learning 3d with my g2 simulator but try downloading the ULTIMATE 3D from the Realflight website on the aircraft page. I find it works great!!!!!!!!

RE: 3D Simulator

AF pro is the best physics by a long shot and now with the panorama photo scenery for Afp the graphics are nearly the same as reflex. Realflight taught me how to hover yet afp is just in another league

RE: 3D Simulator

AFP all the way, in about 2 months it has taekn me from scady cat to PSYCHO CAT, I will do rolling circuits now, snaps, all sorst of things, next Im gonna try hovering for real:D

Well thats just my opinion,
Fly-guy

RE: 3D Simulator

I’ve tried the Ultimate 3D in RFG2 but something with it that doesn’t fell right. I’m going to Florida in February and going to buy AF Pro then. Think I fly the G2 till then.

Thanks everyone for letting me know your opinion

My vote is for AFP also. There are more and better planes available free if you know where to look. In my opinion AFP is better for 3D too. You can make it feel like 3D, or you're particular plane and setup if you like.
I asked this question in the electric forum but got no response. Does anyone have a good/realistic shockflyer type of electric for download anywhere?
Thanks_bob

Ian.W 08-30-2004 12:56 PM

RE: 3D Simulator

not a shocky, but ive got some brilliant electric planes

for free planes go to www.rc-sim.de you have to sighn in a register but its free and you get accest to literally 100s of free DLs for most sims

hi ya all i was just looking on ebay in the uk and came across the Reflex xtr but its only the cd what sort of interface would go with it could the aerofly interface work with it.

thanks

Antony

RE: 3D Simulator

not sure but its a little shady if they dont include the cord. None of the sims will run without it.
