Blender vs inverted flat spin
I've been attempting blenders with my U-Can-do 60. What I get is what I would call an inverted flat spin. Are the two manuvers the same?
If they are not the same, what makes them different? Thanks Malcolm |
RE: Blender vs inverted flat spin
A blender is a maneuver that ends up in an inverted flat spin, but isn't the only way to get there. You can fly inverted into a stall, throw in rudder and end up with an inverted flat spin. The blender is much more dramatic though.

RE: Blender vs inverted flat spin
Ok. You dive down and complete a couple of rolls. At this point you throw in full rudder in the same direction and full down elevator. This is the blender. It only last for the blink of an eye, but as soon as it is over the inverted flat spin begins. So no they are not the same. The end of the blender is the begining of a inverted flat spin.

RE: Blender vs inverted flat spin
Ya, blender is more of an into to an inverted flat spin.
Point down, 2ish full rolls to the left. Sticks together and full down elevator. It'll then do a wicked fast negative snap. When the snaps slow down give it some opposite aileron and a bit of power and it'll flatten out. |
RE: Blender vs inverted flat spin
On my UCD i go into 3d high in the air when I come out of it I kick it into high rate and add all down elevator and full left rudder. It puts it in an inverted flat spin, and slowly comes down toward the ground. You may have to add some aileon but on my UCD i dont have to. When I come out of it i go straight into 3d 10ft. off the ground, or kick the elevator into low rate and do some rolling harriers. I have never tried the blender because i dont know how to do it [>:]

RE: Blender vs inverted flat spin
You do the blender by diving and then you start rolling to one side, then after two or three rolls you apply opposite rudder and down elevator at the same time, then you start to cross the aielrons over until you're in the flat spin.Simple;)
